John 14:17-18 „The Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.

The world could have anything, it could build high towers, cure diseases, it could even walk on the moon, but what it can’t do is accept the truth or rather the Holy Spirit which brings the truth and sais who the Creator is. This Spirit comes from the Father and could lead people into knowing the truth. There is just a small problem for those, who like to test things – It does not work from a distance! The Holy Spirit is not a remote control! It is only sent to those, who are repenting of their sinful life and want for the Father to give them the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is a spiritual baptism. Many people say they are looking for the truth but they never find it and it’s understandable why. They don’t find it because they are not looking for God. And when they say they have found the truth, it turns out to be a hoax, a disappointment and a deep pain. People are desperate and sinful and need guidance and spiritual leadership. Judas asks a misguided question to which Jesus answeres:

John 14:22-23 „Then Judas (not Judas Iscariot) said, “But, Lord, why do you intend to show yourself to us and not to the world?”Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.

Actually Judas wants to know what many people would like to know: why does God reveal Himself to some but not to everyone in this world? Jesus says that there is a place for God only in the hearts of those, who love Him and believe in His only begotten Son. What Jesus sais is that it is not all – God not only wants to reveal Himself to those people and never leave their hearts but to also make a home in their hearts. This is great news, people – having life in your heart and having it connected to God through His Holy Spirit! Now you understand why every truth of the Kingdom of God is revealed only in open loving and hearts full of grace. Now we can truly understand why God tests the hearts of the believers and wants to preserve their holiness. The Spirit of Truth, that is not accepted by the world, because it can’t see It. That is a major problem in the world. The world will never see the Holy Spirit, which means it will never know the Truth that is from God.

Look for It and accept the Holy Spirit if you would like to know God and don’t want to be like orphans in this world. God promises protection. Accept it!

Matthew 7:8 „For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”
