Hello, church, 16th of September 2014

Acts 2:28 You have made known to me the paths of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence.

Do you expect joy in the upcoming week? Should you be waiting for the Sunday service to ve filled with joy and inspiration? Where does the fire of hope and love come into your life from – from people of from God? Who is the source of power for your life – is it God or do you rely on yourself for everything?

This is how many questions there are in one human life and it is not just one. Billions of peple over the face of the earth need an answer to those questions. Everyone needs love, hope, faith. In acts apostle Peter spoke to the Jews and all inhabitants of Jerusalem and tried to explain what the source of happiness for those seemingly drunk but otherwise serious men was. The verse he uses as conformation to his words if found in the scripture of Joel. Isn’t it grand to be able to see the fulfillment of prophecies spoken long before you were ever born? Isn’t it a great joy to see with your own eyes the acts of God and to have the privilege to feel His presence?

In verse 28 the apostle continues to explain and testify to Gods acts through the christening of the apostles in the Holy Spirit using the word of King David. I can’t stop thinking of what the King of Israel spoke: “You have made known to me the paths of life”.

It is so wonderful to know that you have a set path for the salvation of your soul and that God has shown it to you through His son Jesus Christ – a path to salvation and eternal life.

John 14:6 “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Be thankful for your life every day and joy will fill your heart, church.

With lots of love, Pastor Vasil Petrov
