Hello, church, 16th of April 2014

Psalm 84:11 „For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly.”

This psalm is a perfect example of what we should be praying for – even if you don’t pray that good things come to you, they will surely come when you walk uprightly and pure heartedly . You don’t even have to look for those things, because the Word tells us that God will give them to you. What this means is that He won’t forget, damage or disregard. But is that how things happen every time? Definitely not! Another verse tells us: Jeremiah 5:25 „Your iniquities have turned these away, and your sins have kept good from you.”God doesn’t keep good things from us, this is our own doing – that’s what happens if we sin deliberately. Someone might ask – what is actually sin? Every unlawful act is sin. Jesus died on the cross, so we could be free from sin and become pure. Apostle Paul tells Titus 2:14 „who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.” Walking uprightly doen’t mean to just not hate anybody – it also means to perfect in performing good deeds. And because people are not very good at performing good and righteous deeds, the Word tells us that God is powerful – He will prepare, perfect and make all grace abound to us, so we may abound in every good work: 2 Corinthians 9:8”And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.” God won’t forget to make each and one of us strong, to bless us and to fill us with His Holy Spirit. All we need to do is really want to serve the Lord and the people. Amen! Apostle Paul says that he has complete confidence in the Lord. Do you? Do you have complete faith that everything that God has started within you will be fully perfected? Yes, I am confident in myself and I am confident in you. Amen!

Philippians 1:6 „And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”

With lots of love,
